English Conversation Classes
The conversation program at the CELL prepares students to find their voice and communicate their ideas in English. Our classes are led by student instructors from Lee University and focus on providing quality interaction with authentic and useful topics. True Beginner The True Beginner course provides students with the basic, everyday vocabulary and grammatical structures they need to survive in daily life. The language they learn in this class will serve as the foundation for future development in English.

Beginner 1
The Beginner 1 course aims to provide students with extensive opportunities to learn English vocabulary and to use this vocabulary in class. Topics covered include the simple present, simple past, and present progressive tense, comparatives, superlatives, and articles.

Beginner 2 The Beginner 2 course focuses on giving the students the tools they need to start discussing more complex topics in English. Topics covered include the future tense, prepositions of time and place, relative clauses, and pronunciation.

Intermediate The Intermediate course aims to push students beyond knowing the technical features of English and on towards being a confident speaker of the language. Topics covered include perfect tenses, used to + infinitive, reported speech, note taking.

Advanced The Advanced course focuses on developing students' ability to use English in academic and professional settings. Topics covered include Discourse connectors, complex sentences, analytical writing, and argumentation.
